Netflix Anime ‘Spriggan’ Directed by Kill la Kill Director Hiroshi Kobayashi, Visual Reveal
It’s the new age of anime as Spriggan makes its way on hit streaming platform Netflix this coming 2021.
Kill la Kill director Hiroshi Kobayashi is directing the anime. He’s currently working with Hiroshi Seko (series composition and screenplay – Attack on Titan) and Shuhei Handa (character design – Little Witch Academia).
The teaser visual of the anime has recently been released on Tuesday. The visual features Yu Ominae holding a gun while showing his back.
A Spriggan is an agent designated by ARCAM to protect relics of an advanced ancient civilization. These relics could be used to destroy an entire civilization as how the previous one was wiped out. Yu Ominae puts a stop on these people who hunger for power which could lead to their own destruction.
Spriggan is based on a manga written by Hiroshi Takashige with artist Ryoji Minagawa. The manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday under the publisher Shogakukan in 1989. An anime film adaptation premiered in 1998.
