First Look at 2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Club, Character Trailer
2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Club introduces the main characters in anime adaptation of the novel written by Yukako Kabei. The first visual of the anime was released alongside the character introduction trailer:
The anime is scheduled to premiere on Japan’s Fuji TV NoitaminA channel this January 2021.
Yasuhiro Kimura (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures: Golden Wind) will be directing the anime at David Production. He’ll be accompanied by Yousuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia) who will be managing the series scripts. Meanwhile, Yuichi Takahashi will be adapting the character designs from the light novel art. Yugo Kanno (Psycho-Pass) will be composing the music.
The first visual features the first of four character visuals of the series which will be released on the anime’s official website over the coming weeks.
The story revolves around Kimichika Haijima being transferred from Tokyo to Fukui because of a serious trouble with his junior high volleyball team. In Fukui, Haijima reconciles with his childhood friend Yuni Kuroba, who has outstanding physical ability but has troubles overcoming pressure. Both had a fight at the prefectural tournament in junior high. In high school, they both become teammates again in Seiin High School. Together, they’ll be working to raise the school’s weak volleyball club to be the best in Fukui prefecture.
