Netflix Reveals Live-Action Alice in Borderland Teaser Trailer
Netflix on Youtube streamed the live-action series Alice in Borderland. The series is an adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Haro Aso. The live-action series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix this coming December 10th of 2020.
Alice in Borderland is a sci-fi survival that revolves around bored high school delinquent Ryohei Arisu. He wished, together with his two friends, that they lived an exciting life. As the sky was covered in fireworks, the three high schoolers found themselves in a strange version of Tokyo where they play games to survive.
Kento Yamazaki (Orange, Your Lie in April) and Tao Tsuchiya (Orange, Library Wars) star in the series directed by Shinsuke Sato (live-action Bleach, Oblivion Island). Respectively, Kento will be playing as Arisu while Tao will be playing Yuzuha Usagi. Both main characters are shown in the promotion visual above.
Alice in Borderland was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday S from 2010 to 2015. The manga was adapted into an original anime video in 2014. As the manga was moving to its final arc, it was moved to Weekly Shonen Sunday.
You can already set a reminder on Netflix once it comes out.
