Slice of Life Anime Akebi’s Sailor Uniform Reveals Second Visual, Premieres January 8
On Friday, the official website for HIRO’s Akebi’s Sailor Uniform (Akebi-chan no Sailor Fuku) manga revealed its second key visual as well as the anime’s January 8th premiere date.
The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, BS11, and MBS on January 8th, and on BS Asahi on January 9th. On December 18th, cast members Manatsu Murakami, Sora Amamiya, and Shion Wakayama will participate in a YouTube livestream special. Preview screenings will be held on December 25th and 26th in Tokyo and Osaka, respectively.
The anime is being produced at studio CloverWorks with Miyuki Kuroki (The Idolm@ster SideM) as the director. Megumi Kouno (DARLING in the FRANXX) is designing the characters, while Rino Yamazaki (DARLING in the FRANXX) is composing and overseeing the series scripts. The soundtrack is being composed by Kana Utatane.
The first preview trailer had been revealed last October 1st
The manga was first published in 2019 on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website by HIRO. On October 19, the manga’s ninth compiled volume was released. More than 500,000 copies of the manga have been printed.
