The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy Reveals Anime Teaser Trailer
Kadokawa dropped a promotional teaser trailer for the anime release of The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy on Thursday. The announcement is narrated by Saki Miyashita.
The anime is based based on a light novel written by Yu Shimizu who’s working with Asagi Tosaka on illustrations. Yen Press is publishing the light novels in English and describes the story as:
Battles for ancient kingdoms are nothing compared to the battles of a classroom!

Awakening from magical stasis after a thousand years, the Dark Lord Leonis suddenly finds himself in the body of a ten-year-old boy! He quickly meets Riselia, a girl confronting the Voids, creatures that have nearly exterminated humanity. Determined to uncover the mysteries of this strange new era, Leonis enrolls in Excalibur Academy, a school that trains students to fight back against these enigmatic monsters. Could the Voids hold some connection to Leonis’s past?
The light novel series celebrates their release of the 8th volume on October 25th. Yen Press has published the fourth volume in English on October 12th.
The series also has a manga adaptation by Asuka Keigen published in Kadokawa’s Shonen Ace. The publisher will be releasing the manga’s fourth volume on October 26th.
