Jump Festa 2021 Will Be Held At “Jump Fest Island”
Jump Festa is an annual event catering to anime fans and manga fans alike. Upcoming anime and games are announced in the event. Exhibits are also open for fans to enjoy.
The on-going pandemic has held the event in a difficult situation, however. But that doesn’t mean there’s no Jump Festa 2021!
Jump Festa 2021 will be an online event held at a virtual island called Jump Fest Island. The event will be held on December 19 to 20 and participants can join in the fun through a smartphone app. They’ll be able to control original character drawn by authors serialized by Shueisha in their Jump magazines. Jump Fest Island visuals as well as the characters have already been teased:
A virtual event isn’t anything new in this age. In fact, rapper from the US Travis Scott held a concert in a battle-royale game Fortnite. Needless to say, the experience was still spectacular and immersive because of the special effects that you wouldn’t see in person.
Jump Festa is sponsored by Shueisha, publisher of Weekly Shonen Jump, Jump Square, V Jump, and many more under the Jump anthology. Last year, the annual event was held in one of Japan’s largest convention hall Makuhari Messe in Chiba — and ever since year 2000.
