Netflix recently released an English-subtitled trailer for the anime Godzilla Singular Point. The anime will finally be available on the streaming platform for those outside of Japan.
The trailer features a mix of CGI, which is mostly used for the monsters, and the original style to preserve the quality.
Godzilla Singular Point releases its episodes exclusively on Netflix before they’re shown on Japan’s local TV. The anime first aired in the streaming platform on March 25, while it had its TV premiere on April 1.
Netflix describes the story as:
Brought together by a mysterious song, a grad student and an engineer lead the fight against an unimaginable force that may spell doom for the world.– Netflix
Yun Arikawa (VA: Shoya Ishige)
Mei Kamino (VA: Yume Miyamoto)
The anime is currently running with 2 out of 13 episodes. Last October, TOHO Animation and Netflix announced the premiere date of the anime. On the same month, the first visuals were released during the Netflix Anime Festival.
Atsushi Takahashi is directing the series at BONES studio, in partnership with Orange. Toh Enjoe is writing the series composition, while Kan Sawada composes the music for the anime. Eiji Yamamori is behind the kaiju monsters’ design.
